We have prepared and distributed reference samples since the early 1980’s and hold numerous sole supplier state contracts. Guth standards are traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and / or comparable NMI laboratories.

Guth Certified Premixed Alcohol Reference Solution is prepared for immediate usage eliminating the requirement of mixing solution in the field. Solutions are prepared using only purified water and USP ethyl alcohol. No interfering substances or antimicrobial compounds are used. Premixed working solutions are analyzed by gas chromatography. The standard used in the quantitative analysis of ethanol in Alcohol Reference Solution is traceable to the NIST standard.

Guth Laboratories offers the industry an exceptional dry gas standard. With 30 plus years of experience in the breath testing field we are able to offer an exceptional product manufactured in an ISO 17025 accredited gas production facility. All standards are traceable and approved by NHTSA.

Guth stock solution ampoules are prepared under the highest quality standards, using Type I water and USP ethyl alcohol. A precise concentration of a “working solution” is prepared by the end user in the field when the contents of the ampoule are properly mixed with purified water in a 500ml Class A volumetric flask for use in simulators to check Alcohol Breath Test Instruments.
